Do What You Love
The first camera I ever used was a Kodak Brownie. The first camera I ever owned was the Kodak Ektralite 10 that my parents bought me for Christmas. I used that pocket camera for almost thirty years before I got my first 35mm SLR. Then a twist of fate, and my leg, cast me a new life and livelihood.
Freelancing for the local paper plus a diploma in graphic design and publishing were my initiations to digital imaging. I began teaching photography and Photoshop soon after, and I'm now in my eighteenth year.
I am a generalist photographer with many specialties, combining versatility with a diverse personal style that meets my clients' needs and direction. As a photojournalist covering everything from cows to concerts, I grasp speed and intuition to get the shot, while maintaining respect for self and others. In more controlled settings, mastery of skills and equipment helps adapt to external factors with confidence, creativity and success.
After almost two decades, I’m still a student, a journalist, and a photographer for hire. Sharing my experience with others has been the best reward, second only to their friendships. I’ve learned more from them than they could ever learn from me.
Why I do this
Born from a simple concept to control light, photography has become the time machine that freezes the chapters of our lives.
How I work
Seeing is believing. If my images inspire you there's a chance we're a good fit. Let's connect, and together we'll make it happen.
Fun Facts
I love getting paid to have fun. One of my past gigs was delivering balloons in a gorilla suit. Seemed fitting for a guy named Kong.
